About Year – 1 Class
Our Year 1 Class marks the beginning of formal primary education at Forth International School. It is specially designed for children aged 6 years and above, who have successfully completed the Reception Class or its equivalent.
In Year 1, pupils are introduced to a more structured academic environment where they begin to develop strong foundations in core subjects such as:
English Language (Reading, Writing, Phonics)
Mathematics (Counting, Addition, Subtraction, and Patterns)
Science and Nature Exploration
Civic and Moral Education
Creative Arts and Physical Development
Learning is engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate. We blend academic instruction with play-based activities and group work to ensure each child enjoys learning and builds confidence in a caring environment.
Admission into the Year -1 Class requires that the child:
- Is at least 6 years old
- Has completed the Reception Class or equivalent
- Submits a copy of the birth certificate or proof of age during the application
- A birth certificate or proof of age
- Recent passport-sized photographs
- Any available academic records or report cards
