About Year – 5 Class
Our Year 5 Class is designed for learners aged 10 years and above who have successfully completed Year 4 or its equivalent. This stage serves as a critical transition into upper primary education, where pupils are prepared for higher-level academic challenges and personal responsibility.
At Forth International School, Year 5 learners engage in more advanced coursework, analytical thinking, and collaborative projects that foster independence, leadership, and readiness for their final year of primary school.
The curriculum includes:
English Language: Essay writing, grammar mastery, comprehension analysis, and oral expression
Mathematics: Decimals, percentages, measurements, data handling, geometry, and problem-solving
Basic Science and Technology: Scientific concepts, discovery-based learning, and practical applications
Social Studies and Civic Education
Cultural amp Creative Arts, Physical and Health Education, and ICT

Admission into the Year – 5 Class requires that the child:
- Has completed Year 4 or an equivalent class in a recognized school
- A birth certificate or age declaration
- Two or more recent passport-sized photographs
- Academic report or transfer document from the previous school
